World Breastfeeding Week Photo Session

I’m so excited to share something I'm really passionate about… a breastfeeding session centered around celebrating motherhood in all its forms. Whether you’re just starting your nursing journey or have been doing this for months (or years), this space is for you. Every feeding story deserves to be honored, and it is my privilege to document this special time of your life for you. This session concept was inspired by another photographer (one of my mentors) whose work I really admire and the beautiful way she creates space for mothers to feel seen. I’m so grateful for that inspiration as I bring my own version of this experience to Pittsburgh. In honor of World Breastfeeding Week (August 1–7), this session will take place on August 2 and will be held outdoors at Hartwood Acres. While the images shown here were taken in-studio, this experience will embrace a natural, outdoor setting. This will be a connection-focused, storytelling session designed to feel like a safe and supportive space for moms. We’ll begin with a relaxed group portion where everyone is feeding or comforting their little ones together, followed by a few individual portraits for each mama. The full experience will be short, easy, and not overwhelming. This session is being offered as totally free / pay-what-you-want. A digital gallery will be included, and because this is a shared storytelling experience, attendees must be comfortable with images being shared and sign a model release. This is something I feel incredibly passionate about, and truly just the beginning. I plan to offer a version of this session each year during World Breastfeeding Week.
